I am the founder of Joy Personal Training, and am the author of the "12 Week Bikini Body with Mental Challenges". I have learned how to recover and rebuild my physique after 2 children and 2 motor vehicle accidents. I would love to help you reach your goals of a strong, lean, and healthy body!
I currently work from my home in beautiful Lakeside, Montana where I live with my hubby, two kiddos, and our bulldog. I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer, and an internationally published fitness model.
I am passionate about providing women with the knowledge, inspiration, motivation, and encouragement needed to succeed! I know that life is busy, but you CAN learn how to live a healthy lifestyle! I want to help you find balance, as well as teach you how to train with purpose and intensity. I enjoy the challenge of not only reaching personal goals, but knowing that I am helping YOU reach YOUR goals!!
I have always had a passion for fitness. Growing up I was involved in a variety of sports and was fascinated with the intricacies of the human body. After graduating from high school, I earned a degree as a Surgical Technologist. Working in the operating room, I saw firsthand how incredibly complex and strong our bodies are.
After giving birth to our daughter, I decided to enter my first figure competition as a goal to get back into shape. I learned even more about the physiology behind every exercise and the importance of clean eating in order to fuel my body correctly. I ended up winning my first competition, and decided to pursue my newfound passion! I took a huge leap of faith by leaving my job, and opened up a women only personal training business, Joy Personal Training. Even though I don’t compete anymore, I am thankful for those years that taught me the importance of balance, proper training, and dedication.
I have struggled with a birth defect, several injuries, weight gain, depression, insecurities, and most recently was diagnosed with Meniere's disease. Through all of these challenges I have learned how to find a healthy balance by keeping my body and mind strong despite the many setbacks that arise. I have also learned how to lose weight after a difficult second pregnancy and delivery with our son. I want you to know that through drive, dedication, and a disciplined mind and body, YOU CAN ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS AS WELL!
Along with personal training, I am blessed to have been in amazing publications such as Oxygen, Oxygen Australia, Max Sports and Fitness, Fitness Magazine SA, Inside Fitness Women, STRONG, GORGO, and Training and Fitness! I am motivated by the stories and accomplishments from the lives touched through this avenue! My goal is to teach and inspire women to live with purpose, pursue balance, and train with intensity!
